Background
During the summer I interned as an Equipment Engineering Intern at GlobalFoundries, where I worked on integrating a dual-redundant electrochemical hydrogen purifier (EHP) to save the company 99% of the money spent annually on deuterium and make the company more resilient to rising deuterium prices.

- Investigated failure modes across 50+ furnace tools with data-driven root-cause analysis, then drew up CAD-based rigid-tubing redesigns and engineering change orders and worked with vendors to get them built. The result was better equipment reliability and uptime.
- Led the gas recycling system implementation, cutting material waste by up to 99%.
- Tuned process control limits and batch-process metrics to improve fault detection, process capability and manufacturing efficiency.
I'm keeping the details light here because the project is internal to the company.
